If a take a head off an old RB motor and put it on another - is there anything to be careful of??? Will it warp anymore than other engine heads
Do it slowly is the best way, make sure its cold and then 'crack' each bolt first by turning maybe 1/8th a turn each , starting from front left, go back right and then front right, back left and work way in. when finished, stand it up on end or leave on perfectly flat surface, this way you should be right. then undo all of em.
If you want more inches, STROKE IT!
if the old head warped thru overheating, remember the bleeder screws
come to think of it with the steam trap operating, and overheating happening, the temp gauge may not show a high reading??
any comments......
