Hi guys
Im not a VL owner but my mate has a 1987 VL auto that wont wind over.
Starter works, batterys good, terninals are fine, ingnition lights work but she wont wind over.
I checked the relays and fuses and there all good.
Only thing i can think of is.
A auto switch is stuffed, like its still in gear but its not.
B wire going from battery to starter is stuffed.
When ignition is switched on and i bridge a wire from the battery to the starter it will crank over, start and drives fine.
Anyone able to pin point any other things that might be wrong with it
Chears Neil
yeah mate it sounds like the wire from your key to your starter motor is broken or has come off the back of the starter try starting it in N that will tell you if the park saftey switch is stuffed or not but i would be lookin at the wires from the battrey to the key and from the key to the starter motor or it could even be a kill switch that it faulty if the car is fitted with one that is anyways good luck
yeah i say its the wire from start to key its a common prob in vls.
