i've decided to go a different way abouut spicing up the executive. i thought i might try adapting some r31 "hot plate" tail light lenses to replace the breaklights and change the indicators and reverse lights to a flat plastic instead of the stepped stockers. so before i start this project is there anyone who might have some prior knowledge on how this might be acomplished?
any help will be greatly appreciated.![]()
i recon thats gonna look silly....
I saw a vl with new BMWs front lights that looked sic. Your back lights idear could look good but I think just tinting them looks tuff but yea something deferent is always good go for it
I like the idea. im not sure about up there but i know if i were to modify them to siut my vl it would be considered unroadworthy. lights are something you arent really allow to do too much with. some of the aftermarket altezza style arent even authorised so if you get pulled over they can canary the car for it.
it would be an expensive exercise to get them adr approved too. i always wanted to adapt newer camry lights to mine. the long thin ones. i reckon they would look good too.
silvia lights fit in the calais fronts quite nicely too.
fitting the hotplates to the rear would cause a few angry skyline owner responses though, lol
recently purschsed 87 vl commodore looking to attch bmw light to the front saw previous pi\ost ne help would be sweet
Ok, i dont know about the legalities of it all, but if your worried about looks, see if you can get someone to photochop it for you. i cant (too busy) but somebody here probably could if you cant.
Rollin Rollin Rollin
as far as i'm aware the legal side of it is if it has reflectors and is the right colour. anyone know the actual law?
i'd rather know now b4 i get it done and then get done.
Can't imagine it'd be illegal. So long as everything worked.
sounds all dodgey to me
