    Exclamation Vlt head

    Just after some basic help/info, how much would I be looking at paying for a stock standered original vl turbo head with everything, and would I have much chance of finding one?

    The reason I ask is I purchased an original vl turbo, however 3 of the holes in the head are stripped, at this stage I just wanna get the motor running and then rebuild it in the future,

    am I better off getting the one I have reco"d and getting the threads re tapped

    or

    buy another head complete

    if it was mine i would reco it then you know its fresh and going to last awhile,though if your just going to sell it find the cheapest option.
    btw if you end up buying a new one let me know ill buy your old one lol.

    The bare turbo and non-turbo heads are the same so there's plenty out there, just the cams are different.
    If you're real keen Nissan still sell them new. You're looking at about $1800.

    Lol won't be buying one new! Not lookin to sell the car just trying to get it running good till it goes in for a full build

    Which holes are stripped? You can use helicoils or recoils to replace stripped threads in aluminium if that is your problem. You might not even need to take the head off to repair it.

    can get a head of the 25 and turn it twin cam!
