Modifying standard RB30 to RB30 block / RB25 head + turbo... HELP!

hey guys,

Got a pretty sad VL berlina. Got the body looking great, but engine is f***d.
Thought rather than just replacing the standard RB30, I'd beast it up a bit with a turbo.
I know that the standard ecu & loom won't comply with this, so what do I need?
Is a standard VL turbo loom OK (straight RB30 + turbo)?
Or will this not work because of the RB25 head?
Also, what sort of aftermarket ECU will I need...?

Was going to help you out earlier today but got banned for 24 hours.

So I will help you now..

If you just turbo a rb30, yes you can use a non turbo loom or turbo loom. Only difference is the turbo loom has the knock sensor plug.

Ok now if you want to use the rb25 or 26 head you HAVE to use that loom to suit the head, and either use the stock ecu for a rb25 or rb26 depends on which head you choose.
Aftermarket ecu, well that all depends on what head you use again, weather it be a rb30, rb26 or rb25 head.
