Fuel Gauge not working VL

Hi all AHs anyone had any problems with thier fuel gauge. It only works sometimes. Do you think that it has something to do with the connect with the fuel tank? If so what should I do...thanks

pretty common on vls. if its sticky needle try giving your dash a whack. if that doesn't work then it could be your level sending unit or faulty wiring. try checking all the connections and such before pulling things apart. could save you time. goodluck

yeah mate. I have the same problem. Tapping the gauge always seems to work for me.

yes same here tapping the gauge works for me too, so I would suggest the needle in the gauge is sticky.
any ideas as to what lube to use for the gauge?.
