Hi Guys,

Well an 18month conversion on my 87 factory 5l VL is about a fortnight away from being complete.. Complete rebuild of engine, with only the block and the crank kept... I have spent more than the missus knows about, and got carried away with putting the nest bits of this and that I could find into it.. I will update in the next week or so all that we have done to it but basically they are:

VN heavly ported heads
bored out to 30 thou
heavy lumpy race cam
a9 x rods
hypotenic Larry Perkins pistons, valves and gaskets
4 barrel carby
comp 11:3
twin 3 inch exhaust

my question though is about a t5G I have put into it.... we havnt started the car yet, and I have not checked the oil in the box etc.... but the gears feel very clunky or tough?? if that makes sense..

Does anybody have any experience with a T5G??? Am I looking at a rebuild of the box now etc??
