have a vl WITH FACTORY AIR, HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO NEW GAS, in warmer weather the compressor quit s after about 5 minutes, first expert said new compressor needed, next said compressor OK, after testing with gauges, etc, but high gas pressure in system was causing compressor to shut down, suspected blocked dryer which looks very old

next expert said problem was in engine cooling system fan clutch, causing overheating of cooling system and air cond is OK, i doubted this as there is the aux electric cooling fan there, but I did put in a new viscous clutch
now since its cold weather I cant really tell whats happening
system has had gas and dye added and later checked for leaks with special light, no leaks

I cant get to feel the compressor outlets to see whether 1 is hot and the other cold, the electric fan works sometimes but not always, the air cond radiator and dryer feel only slightly warm, a small amount of water drains from the air cond system afyter stopping
how can I tell what exactly is happening in the present cold weather??
