Injectors maybe man as its not getting fuel. u r getting spark and compression, And it fires when u said u add fuel down the intake.
or the pumps Failing there is 2 (Highfow and Inertia intank Pump) ... pull of the main fuel hose to Fuel rail. Its the Top one of the 2 and put it in a bottle. now turn ignition on and c if it pumps fuel into bottle. Should have some pressure not a trickle.

    fair chance.
i had a prob like this a while back and ur prob may not be the same.. but
In the wiring loom. (behind Battery) about 200mm down from the relays is a diode. This is to stop reverse polarity. Now this diode in my car was corroded out and causing a connection both ways.. it will be wrapped in black factory tape. Now these power diodes only work one way. if i disconnect this diode. My car starts not a worry and runs all day long. Now if i connect these 2 wires together where the diode was. Car stalls. (turns off injectors). so now i have left this diode out and as long as these wires dont earth out car runs a dream. so might pay to have a look. its in the earth wiring from the battery and relays near by.
    Goodluck.
i would say its an injector problem if ur getting fuel pressure/Compression/and spark. Its the only thing stopping it.

    Yeah u make sense.
yeah the diode is on the earth to stop reverse polarity if the battery is connected wrong. Have a look.
i can make a vid tomorrow for u to show u what it does :P
only disconnecting the diode in between if its shagged.
dont know why it does it but hey thats what i found :P

nah just have a look at the diode if its still in good condition and not corroded out it should be fine...
    Hows the fuses and relays
try another relay. for the injectors in the spot Relay M on the fuse box lid. EFI relay.. and check the wires for this relay cradle that the spade connectors are not being pushed out and are going on the relay pins.
    I have had this b4
