Stock vl calais 5.0 with good headers,wanting more horsepower cheaply?? (under 2.5k)

Hi there.
I own a 87 vl calais 5.0. running 5.0 lv2 motor,stock apart from a good set of headers.
have been told to put vn heads on etc for a cheap and good gain in horsepower.
i work hard but have a big family so $ are tight..Any good ideas on getting more for less $ would be appreicated..Cheers...

vn heads will require u to also change ur headers, intake manifold and cam

Mmm.well i def dont want to change my headers after spending good $ on my new ones.
been told to get my fact heads ported etc and a decent cam to get things moving.
iv been reading street mach mags for info to but theres so many options...cheers for reply Saikou 27.

i have done cam rockers and zorst. Thats made a difference. Mind u i also re built the motor so its like new. U can get stroker kits that u can do urself if u kno how 2 4 around 2500 i think
