    Default Bonnet Scoop

Just wondering if either the VK scoop or the A9X Torana Scoop will fit onto the bonnet of a VL..

My Air Cleaner sits about 85-90mm out of my bonnet at it's highest(front) point. I want to put a reversed scoop on the car so the opening is at the back.

When I search VK scoops they look like what I want but they all seem to say suitable for VB - VK.. wondering if the bonnet profile may have changed for the VL? Same if the A9X will work as the Torana Bonnet seems to be flatter in profile.

    Thanks all.

Probably just bolting it on.. I have heard you can "glue" scoops as well but I am not sure how secure they would be.. Don't want to get involved in glassing it. Thanks

From memory the VL's had a completey flat bonnet? Where as VB-VK has a center line running the length of it.

Im sure you could flatten out the bottom of the scoop, or fill it in with something to get it to sit right on a VL bonnet?

And, Sikaflex, urethane, its uber cool stuff, will stick a pedo to a wall infront of a room full of children. They use that to help hold on the sides of trucks, (thin sheet on the side of pantechs) plastic bumper strips, my rear calais bumper extensions

    Its good stuff

Yeah your right the VL bonnet is flat as opposed to the Vk etc.. that is why I am looking at the scoops that come of the A9X.... maybe I will go that way and try some urethane or sikaflex then as it will no doubt look neater..

    Cheers for your input

Walkierep...would you happen to have any pics of the A9x and Vk scoop on your Vl/Vls??

The reason I was trying to steer away from the walky scoop is that I dont have/nor do i want to put any kit on my car.. i want it to look as stock as possible aside from the mags and the scoop, and I persoannly picture the walky scoop looking a bit out of place without a bodykit as well...opinions??

That is why I was looking at a smaller scoop.

Does the walky scoop need to be glassed on or can it be sikalfexed/urethaned?
