how is your car temp running?
Maybe it is a bit high and is relying on the booster fan to get more air through the radiator, not just for the aircon
    Just a thought :P

hmm could not tell u mate maybe the relay is stuck on when u turn the aircon off.
causing the fan to stay on, but not the compressor relay for the aircon
Best take it to an auto electrician, for investigation...

check and see if the air con is switching off. it should come on when you select the windscreen setting so make sure its not on that.(i dont mean feel for cold air, actually check and see if the pump is engaged) if the air con turns off and the fan still runs chances are itll be the temp sensor. find it, and pull the plug off it and see if anything else changes.

failing everything else just unplug the fan til summer when your using the ac, then it doesnt matter if the fan is on all the time!

BUT im the one that usualy says "its not meant to be doing that so it should be fixed" and from there im out cos i wouldnt have the same setup as your car to be able to help.

thanks......i still looking but i did unplug the fan.......i agree with you with the ain't supposed to be doing that bit......that's why i trying to get some info!!!!i think that the sensor behind the engine temp sensor might have something to do with it but my gregories book doesn't say anything about it(or the air-con for that)
