    Default vl wont start

    Morning,
    i have just got this car and i have trouble with starting it.I removed imobolizer that was playing up
    put new battery in it started straight away checked charge rate from batt etc removed all plugs cleaned with cleaner. it ran for two days next day wouldnt start.when turned key no dash lights jump started straight away checked rate again ok to for run it started up agian but left for two hours tried to to start it all lights four turns of key then nothing.i havent got fuse cover dont know what is what would be able to point in the right direction it would much appreciated

    sounds like immobiliser is still kiking in to me and alternator i have the same prob with mine after i removed immobiliser when it does it i just hotwire it and then its good for a couple of days just dont have time to fix it properly

    imobiliser wont kick in and out when it feels like.
    imobiliser is either on or off lol.

    id sey alternator to have a stab

    while in idle u should be getting 14.2 volts a the battery terminals from the alternator... if ur not Alternator is failing. leave it hooked up and turn car off. should see a voltage drop.

    immobiliser does if you mis a wire an it connects back up when u go over a bum or somthing i found that out the hard way

    bad earth or poor contact on the battery terminals, because you said it jump starts ok, I would take the battery clamps off scrape the insides and the battery terminals with a wirebrush or sand paper, and make sure the wires attached to the clamps are tight.
    and check the earth on the body and block and the + lead to the starter motor and alternator for good clean contact.
