    Default Crank collars

    G'day, I have an N1 oil pump on my fresh forged unstarted motor, obviously it's had a crank collar fitted to accept the N1, prob is I want to swap the N1 out and replace it with a Nitto pump. Will the N1 crank collar work with the Nitto pump? Cheers.

    some fit onto collars some fit like oem pump
    only way to be sure is to measure them and compare the clearance between the two
    why change arent n1's good pumps? i thought they were? maybe im confused (if so sorry)

    Thanks for that. Well I've recently heard all over the place that N1's have been quite unreliabe in recent times due to producing too much oil press for the rb30, and something about poor quality metal in new versions. So I don't want to take a chance

    Wasnt that quite some time ago?If your not spinning it past 8000rpm then the N1 will be fine

    Id be going the Tomei before Nitto if not satisfied with the N1.

    i had heard the spring was too tight and in the drifters they were popping gaskets but was when i owned one 3 years ago
    have no idea on there qaulity nowadays soz~!
