Well I have been looking around for quite some time for whitewall inserts.. i have been searching for just a fat whitewall, but i stumbled upon these and now i just don't know.
Either way i'll be getting one of the 2 styles below, so dont bother going on about how they are gay or crap or that i should get real whitewalling done.
They are the 2 choices, a fat whitewalls with all white. or a strip of black between the rim and the whitewall making it look thinner. I just don't know which way to go
Any input or experience would be great
Cheers
Pics of car first.
Only ever seen one commodore which it worked on. Most of the time it looks shit.
first ones, but with chasers painted black with chrome or silver centre caps,or get the calais rims fully sick polished uleh
well i put the pic of my wheels in to show how they will look fully polished. its just a matter of getting time to do all of them.
not planning on getting chasers any time soon. i'd like to keep the stocko calais ones on there.
im really leaning towards the first ones now.
yeah the second ones will be too much
the first ones will be nice and neat.the first ones in red would be even better
i dont think the red would suit my car. i'd like to keep it all white
like these wheels right here

yeah one a white car they would look better.on that black one they should have been red
bit of a drama for you to consider
in brisbane a girl i know has a lowlux (hold the applause)
anyway she fitted whitewalls anyway long story short got defected
because the tyres didnt meet the load rating capacity
she went back to the tyre shop and they said they told her and tuff bickies
but is something to be aware of anyway
oh really? That sounds strange. I can't see how portawalls would affect the load rating. I have stock suspension and big fat tires. not low profile or anything.
could it possibly because she was driving a lowlux? or they said it was specifically for the whitewalls
they were one piec whitwalls with couloured rubber but i believe they were meant for a lower weight car?
either way to pass the pit test she gotta change em and fit headrests and fit muffler andyou get the point
it was just another thing on the list to those guys pretty sure it was a transport department vehicle
i see.. well ill be wary of that before i purchase anything now.
seeing as the car came on 16's and the portawalls are 16's im guessing they are safe to use. Either way, if i get pulled over and roadworthy checked im ####ed haha
just have to match your tyre placard and shes all sweet
i found her new white walls that were correct her response " i'll just get some chromies"
i give up!~
They will look shit on that car.
Get all the trim back on it, paint the sun visor and give the rest of the car a good cut and buff before you go spening money on white walls.
cam down buddy. before you go saying my car looks so shit
the car isnt coming out of the garage for the next 5 months. I lost my license so i can spend some time doing things like painting the visor and replace the trims. I wasnt asking if i should get them or not. i was just asking which ones people thought would look better.. the car has a long way to go yet so have some faith in it
i said the white walls would look shit on the car as it is. Not your car looks shit.
Fix up the stuff thats already there before you go adding more too it. Which is exactly what I just said.
im in no rush to get anything done in any particular order. If the car isn't coming out of the garage then what does it matter if i buy the trim first..or the whitewalls first?
By the end it will all be done. so why is timing important to any of it?
ehhh. I don't think its ever worth explaining it to you. Go get your whitewalls. Try a fluffy dice as well...
mate try some photoshop work on your tyres and see what suits...
Everybody likes different things so basically its Personal Preference
id say go the first ones and polish the crap ot of the calais rims it will look great.
do what you want i guess.
you will get criticism from some and me also porta walls are gay in my opinion.
the ones on the black calais are just painted onto the origional tyre.
think they are illegal because a cop cant read whats written on the tread
