wastegate shot??

hey guys my waste gate opens and closes whenever it damn well feels like it?? is there a way to fix it or should i just replace it?? or did my mechanic possibly do a dodgy tune on my new computer? any help is appreciated greatly

hmmm is it internal or external..
i'm tipping internal so i would think maybe the Vac hose has come off the actuator vac vessel. on the turbo..
Manual Boost controller.???? if so has it been adjusted to fully open
Is the actuator arm on the flap control arm??

dont know f**k all bout turbos unfortunately. its the standard rb25 turbo atm. only performance mod is the wolf 3D V500 computer. saving for a fuel system now

Okay so, have a look at your turbo manifold and turbo, does it have a seperate pipe running to a wastegate, follow the boost line from your turbo to the wastegate actuator, if the line ends up on your turbo still then you have an internal gated turbo.... if not and it goes to a seperate flange on your manifold you'd have an external wastegate.

If you have an internal wastegate you may need a new actuator.
