    Question gearbox conversion

hey people. i'm about to convert my car and was wondering if its true that i have to change my starter motor? I know the flywheel is different but i thought the ring gear would be the same.

My prior knowledge, VL workshop manual, and Repco catalouge serve me to say that the starters are the same. Not to take anything away from you Bex, not often you miss.

EDIT: thinking about it more, there could be some other componant relating to the start in gear prevention that you'd need to remove, whatever it is it's not part of the starter motor.

Nah your right mate, I'm probably just confusing myself thinking of mx7/mf5 stuff.
