So Ive decided to keep my VL a bit more original and remove the turbo for the time being as I also cannot afford to run it.
The car at some stage has had an engine swap I would say from the original Rb30 to a Nissan RB30 ( Judging by the rocker cover) So today went down the road and managed to pick myself up a stock Rb30 extractor/manifold that came from a Holden engine supossibley how ever it doesn't want to line up.
Edit: the Nissan gasket fits but not the manifold?
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Ben
Yeah but then it dosn't fit to one side. Not the gasket but the manifold?
stud pattern should be the same... coz same motor and exhaust manifold.
r u sure u r lining it up right..
Keep the turbo on it never downgrade to an NA
Turns out it was a Rb25 Manifold >.< , Only reason im takeing it off is because ive got a trip from Auckland to Christchurch
and the owner that had it before me did a mean maori mean job on it. Going to keep the Turbo itself and the manifold and when I get the money for everything else will put it back together
Sure it's not an RB25 head?
*Edit* beat me.....
Going to need a good idea on how to do the intercooler piping properley next time though? Suggestions or just get one of these?
RB30E front facing plenum.exchange for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand
that plenum itself looks rough as guts.
get a half decent one
As bowdown has said......Don't bother with that clapped out plenum.....Get a half decent one...
And as detox nath said...The nissan rb30 is exactly the same as the holden one. Just different rocker covers.
