    Exclamation leaking every where

hay guys i just rescently turned 18 and have bought my self a clean vl exe. Only prob i didnt realises it had major rust in the boot untill i got it home and was fitting the 2 12's in the back. I sanded all the rust out of the put, put a rust proof spray down and replayed the whole thing. mean while that dosnt help with the water getting in the boot. Ive taken the rubber bungs outa the boot to get rid of the water but i still wanan fix the problem with out getting the whole rear window taken out and redone. also have the problem with the front windown as there is a lake in the passanger side foot place after a heaver shower. i know its all coming from the bottom corners of the windscreen but just woundering on any reasonably cheap idead.
    thanks alot

Unfortunately I don't think theres any dodgy ways around it if its that bad.

Mine was doing the same in the boot. This is what it looked like under the screens/seals.

    It's all good now.

I wouldn't dodgy it up otherwise its just going to keep getting worse. Sand it all out, treat it, then fibreglass if you wanna be really really dodgy.

But It doesn't cost much to get it done properly.

thx guys, the problem is completly under the plastic window coverings ( on the fron sides) so by removing them and using some bog maybe should do the trick. I rescently had it surviced and the mechanic said the best way to fix is is get the window removed and shifted out or up a couple of mm to completly cover the problem area. this sounded affected but also really expensive. i have also been told to go around the endges wif some silicone. the rust isnt really bad but i traced where it coming from and it drips down the inside of the front left quarter panel and drips into hold inbetween outer and inside panels where it builds up till it over flows on of hole in inside panel near the cpu, and leaks onto the floor. it warm water aswell due to being over the exhust which really does start to smell on the carpet if i dont fix it pretty quick after a show.

Theres other sealant you can use. I've heard silicones very bad from alot of people, as it expands or something like that?

Seriously though mate, its Rust, rust is cancer for cars. If you don't get it chopped out completely, its just going to keep on coming back. And if you do nothing about it. It's just going to keep growing, and the holes going to get bigger and bigger.

Go and see a few panel beaters.

ive had this prob its common to have in a commodore in the boot the easy est way is to buy rust proof stuff and body filler and also a new window seal cost about $70+ for the window seal wat ya do is cut out the window fix all the rust and the let the body filler set the put the window bak in the window seal put string around where it goes intot the cabin and then put it on and pull the string b carefull dont force it too much as it may break u may need abit of greese or somthin and then afta its done push on the window across ways not down so its bak in propley if ya need to take out the window fixe the rust and get o'brians to do it for u sounds easy but when ya get to the rust its a pain in the ass.. hope this helps
