hey everyone.
i have 2 vl rb30 engines. on one block it just says rb30. on the other block it says nissan japan rb30.
would someone be able to tell me what the difference is??

s1 an s2? s1 wasn't meant for turb's? i could be wrong

no diffrence one jsut from a r31
i was told the same thing but there the same motor so how could one have turbo put on it and not the other but then again i am a noob haha

one with japan rb30 is out of a r31 has a different head and slightly different timing that is the only difference and s1 and s2 s1 has no plugs on the side for turbo oil lines and stuff and series 2 do
you didnt ask the difrence between a turbo motor and non turbo motor you asked the difrence between the one that seys rb30 and the other nissan jap rb30

the nissan japan rb30 does have the turbo ports and it also has forged pistons.
have been trying to find out for a while because i was originally told that the nissan japan one is a race spec motor.
no they are the same as any other rb30 unless some one has put those parts in
