Gday there,
my vl 308 was running a bit rough so i checked the spark plugs and noticed one had a cracked insulator on the part that sticks out of the engine...
So i put some new spark plugs in and when for a spin...this time it ran worse than before...
I went back again and checked the spark plugs and noticed one of my new ones had done the same thing?!?
Any advice on whats happening and how I can fix this problem would be much appreciated!
was it the same cylinder that broke the insulator or a different one?
check your spark plug socket for the rubber inside and be careful how you install the plugs too much side pressure will cause the plug to break , watch out when working around the alternator that you dont spark against the power lead try using a spanner on the plug socket to increase clearance and chane of breaking the plug
Technicaly it's a304 lol. Technicaly you should disconnect the battery terminals..........did you drop that plug? Sometimes you can buy dud plugs also if you drop it ditch it and buy a new one
