Default Price for a moderate turbo setup

I own a stock 87 man VL. I'm considering of putting a moderate turbo setup on the car. The only modifications performed on the car so far are a 2.5" exhaust system and pedders suspensions on all 4.

What would be a reasonable price for me to spend on turbocharging my car?

aghh... theres about 123094432423432 threads along the lines of this...

do a search for 'turbo' or something n u will be here for weeks!

it all depends what type of conversion you going to do and how stoogey u wanna do it etc!

cheap but smart conversion is to find some old dude who doesnt realise vl turbos are worth anything and buy a stock one for minimum of 4,000

building one can be done for less i believe if u shop around!

but then if you buy a stock turbo they have the larger diff and breaks which also will need to be done...

then you always like to have your boost control etc.... i dunno really!

recon you could build one with out the breaks and larger diff for around 1500 minimum

i was told that i would need.

t03/t04 turbo (t03 with bigger housing which is t04) provides more air intake i think.
    your turbo ecu
exhaust manifold/ more then likely larger exhust i dont think its 100% nessacery!
    all of the steal piping!
    larger injectors
    low compression pistons/rods

and ebay is exactly the cheapst way as i have noticed with this stuff...

coz every lil boy dreams of having a vl turbo gets on his computer like us and searchs ebay... some ppl pay ridiculous amounts of money for some stuff...
make sure u know what u want and need!
