    Default vl with a hiccup

    Hey guys,
my mother in law,has a prblem with her vl.It was diagnosed as a split hose on the rocker cover, which was sucking in air.Having that fixed,it went well, for a time. But the problem is back.I think its electrical(perhaps fuel pump related),does anyone have any idea what this could be???
    Thanks for your help

What exactly is the problem? You say it had a split hose & was sucking in air, but it got fixed. My guess is your problem is there's excess air still in the system or?

my vl used to cut out every now and then, it was a loose connection in the auto computer. i fixed it by buying a new car... loool. it was actually just a quick soldering to remedy it.

it was the hose to the pc valve, causing the problem,or so I thought.that fixed,it ran well, but now seems like it is being strangled again, under load.Hot days makes it worse.Could it be a fuel pump,a faulty electrical connection---or--I dunno???
    Thanks for your response.

    is the air filter clear/clean?
    fuel filter blocked?
    timing set correctly?
throttle body clean and opening and closing correctly?
    check your fuel pressure.

    its got one.

(CAS) Crank angle sensor or AFM(Air flow Meter)
check the plastic piping from afm to throttlebody for leaks in the constantine piece as well(near Afm) they can crack in between the ribbing

Following the above, all went well till 6 weeks ago. Now,the bloody thing sometimes wants to buck you right out the dam window. So,looking through what I have done, what you all have said to do(some to go) its on with diagnosis.
Could it be the Hall sensor in the dizzy? Or the whole dizzy itself?
    Cheers,guys.
