get the bat tested to see if its shagged.

reverse lights are most likely in the terminals. assuming you have checked the globes and one isnt blown.
i doubt its the switch in the selector or else nothing would happen in the lights at all. clean up the terminals for the globes, maybe replace the globes anyway and check the earthing for the lights at the back. very common problem. no need to wire a new manual switch when it could be a matter of repairing a loose wire.

nope, no light in the boot but i smacked one light (P/S/R -- which will need replacing) and tightned up the negative.... this seems to of fixed it but ill wait till later tonight to test it properly.... it mainly flickers when accelerating in reverse but it doesnt do it when its stainding still!

To me that defenitely sounds like a loose connection then if it mostly happens while moving.

Mine has that problem occassionally and what I have to do is tighten the part that holds the globe by turning it and then the light stays on

    Default cut wire?

i had probs with my boot loom, it was the cause of, When i put my foot on the brake pedal the parkers at the front would come on.

do u took all the tape off n saw that one of the wires had been cut/stripped as a result of rubbing against something i guess... so i soldered her up n its working perfect!

ive had probs wit my vl brake reverse and even indercators at first i thort it was the wireing looms but no, wat ya do is test them first wit a test light and if the light goes on its fine, afta that ya get a long nose pair of pliers and where the bottom of the globe sits in pull it out the metal bar things more then wat it is so its touching the metal bars propley and hey presto it should work perfict this also works on anycar wit the same prob unless the globe is the thing thats playing up or blown.

cheers guys!I replaced a couple of fuses too, I had a problem with my high beams having to be held on. I originally thought it was the clockspring but after a look at the fuse box under the hood I was pretty shocked the Highbeam fuse had welded itself to the Fuse rail, everything around it had melt down.... next job..... replace that rail!
