can anyone tell me if vp rear disc will fit vl rear and if possible what is involved in the conversion? changing whole diff or can i just change the drum section to disc thanks for the help if anyone can
hey hows it going the vp diff would fit in the vl but because the vp has a wider base you would only be able to have 16inch mags on the car.
you and change the drums to disc but you have to change the wheel bearings and backing plates.....as for vp discs i'm not entirly sure whether or not they will fit.....i suppose that they can since vl turbo are the same as vn v8 discs....
I took the whole diff from a VN Wagon (which already has the disc brakes) and put put it on my VL sedan....The only problem I had was that the rear shockies bottom bolts were to small so I drilled the rubber centre to fit the bolt. Also I had to tie the loose handbrake cable up a bit that was hanging down. Apart from those two things, it was too easy to do. "Life is so sweet now"
if you just whant the brakes then just swap the brakes if you want the diff ratio or a lsd out of a vp then swap the whole thing it all bolts up ok
Don't you have to change the master cly too or remove the non return valve for the rear brakes as drum brakes need about 8psi all the time and disks don't they will lock up...Originally Posted by POVRTY

i put a later model lsd in a vb stroker and didnt change a thing. it all seemed to work ok. i dont knowabout the 8 psi but its defenatly worth doing some research
