i just thought i would show u sum pics of my car. last night i was driving home from my girlfriends place when it just caught on fire.
im pretty sure it had something to do with fuel because i could smell fuel just before it happened.
its my first car so im pretty pissed but now i can get a manual car that is cheaper to run
the moral of the story is get fire and theft insurance because now all i have a burnt heap of shit

and people call me paranoid for having 3 fire extinguishers in my car![]()
sucks about your car, but it looks as though most of the interior is salvagable. Buy another VL and keep it for spares, or just wreck it, you should still get a decent amount selling the parts off.

ahhh that sucks mate. i carry a little flame killer too. thats why.
looks like it might be foam vlacs....or something to kill out the fire smell....
Yeah that has made me consider going out and getting a fire extinguisher for my VL
after a slight pause, this is where some one asks if it still goes![]()

yep its water, although im not sure if its salty vlacs (i havnt tasted it)
the back of my dash was smoking so the fire brigade came back and soaked the inside of the car and all through the dash. Not too good for the stereo but hopefuly it survived
Ouch, did they tell you tell you what looked to be the cause. Just area's around where fuel is located look pretty good, considering. Most of the damage, and I' no expert, but most of the heat seems on the exhaust side of the car. Which doesn't make all that much sense to me.
If I was a flame I'd be going for the fuel.
the fire guys told me that it was probably fuel by the way it was burning but they couldnt tell me what started it. They just put it out and left. I figured that most of the heat was n the exhaust side because there is heaps of plastic on that side from the air filter box and the big induction pipe. That stuff would burn pretty easily.
shit man sorry to hear that suks ass....
shit man.. that sucks.. luckily it didnt blow..
I wonder what those scales on the top right side of my posts do...
