To get the cluster out.. You remove the two satellite switches, wipers and demister. Theres a phillips head screw underneath each, undo the screw, undo the clips. Remove the two plastic sleeves either side of the cluster. Undo the two screws in there, then lift.

Then you will see the cluster. 4 Screws holding it in, these clips usually break (actually, nearly all the vl clips break)
Anyway, undo those screws. Pull the plug out of the back of the accelerator part. Pull the connection off the circuit board. And pull out the tacho one if its there.

If you want a cluster I've got a tacho one for sale.

How hard is it to replace an exec dash to a calais/berlina dash?
I havent taken my dash out, but im guessing if i change it, i will loose the odometer reading?

If you wanted to just put a tacho in you can do that fairly easy with the two dashes to keep your stock odometer.

Apart from that it should just plug in. But I've honestly never done it and its not something I looked up too much.

So you can just replace the clock with a tacho??? I was thinking of replacing my cluster with the calais/berlina one but i don't need a voltmeter, don't want to loose the odometer reading although head just been replaced. How easy is it to wind them back? And hook up the oil pressure guage.

How much you selling the cluster for bex?

Just 50 dollars. VDO on Main street across the road from the pa should be able to wind them to whatever you want. Well the dash is made by vdo.

Umm... The oil pressure gauge needs the sender.. If the sender is there you just join the cable up i think. But I never got that far on mine.

Each cluster has the clips on them. They don't always break, you just have to be careful.

I'd send it to you mate, Postage is no troubles. Have a think about it anyway. And yeah you pull the entire cluster out as one piece..

There you go, you can see the calais one in my box of goodies.
