...DID my radiator a few weeks ago engine got very hot on way home replaced it but once it gets close to standard operating temp it stalls whist in gear(AUTO) but only when im not moving..it cough and splutters at around 200rpm then stalls i put it in gear and start it and it fine it starts whenever i want it to could it be torque converter i have done plugs o2 sensor oil filter (has a rather high oil pressure) have done fuel pressure test all good maybe the head has cracked or maybe it might need a tune and a few ingnition components
any help would be good cheers GIbbs
cooked coolant temp sensor? if coolant got to hot may have damaged its readings
unplugging it will make it revert to a hot setting and a basic fuel map so shouldnt stall then if that
else compression check while/when warmed up
oh right thats right next to where i bleed it and the coolant goes in .... it runs fine in park when its at operating temp but stalls whilst in gear
when i say coolant goes in i mean into the top inlet
if only stalls when put into gear
and cts makes no difference unplugged
and compression check is ok
i would try cleaning the idle control motor and raising the idle a little bit (at iac stepper motor back right of engine)
alright cheers mate ill give it all a go n get back to ya if all is up the shit still cheers
aac valve is what u r talking about (Auxilery Air Control) dont think its this though. in idle whats your RPM should b around 750rpm
weird problem. check all vacuum lines
aac iac holden nissan whatever![]()
hey mate i unlplugged temp sensor andc plugged it back in now car wont start
its probably just being picky or your fault isnt to do with the overheating and is a coincidence...
hold the throttle partially open and crank it (not for or if uses lpg) it should come back to life
you need to do a code check at the ecu (left hand front lower kick panel) i cant remember exactly how on these.. i think you turn the screw left then right then count flashes .. do a search on here and it should come up
BEFORE YOU DO THE CODE CHECK take battery negative terminal off
for ten minutes (or less cant remember)
then drive the car until fault occurs (or let idle till stalls)
then check codes
a how too is in my Signature mate c how u go..
