Does any one know if a vl v6 manual box will bolt up to a 5ltr in a vl(i don't care if it wont last too long)
have been told yes and no,really need a correct answer before i go pulling things apart.

im not much help as i dont know if the box will work or not, but do you mean the vl straight 6 (RB30)

no as the rb 30 6cyl pedal box is hydraulic and your t5 box is cable.you need vb-vk v8 pedals

you can modify vb-vk 6cyl pedals but not worth the hassle

No to the rb30 manual box will not bolt up to the v8, they are totaly different bell housings

You will need to find out what 5 litre engine you have too. Some are to suit turbo 350 trans and some are to suit trimatic or manual trans.

i'm just going to bite the bullet and do it properly a reco t5 v8 is only $950

this here is a pic of a standard turbo gearbox (a T5 bellhousing). and on the right, one modified to suit trimatic block. i bought a turbo 350 and had it modified to suit my vl 5.0 litre.
