    You will need
    gearbox
    flywheel
    clutch
master cylinder + hose to attach to box
    Spigot bush
    pedal box
    gearbox bolts

But this has been covered searching this site will be better - google or sites like calaisturbo.com will give you complete step by step procedure

well said Munz. its been covered heaps of times. its quite an easy process, give yourself plenty of time for errors if u have any.
u have to by-pass your neutral start relay as well which is one of the relays behind your battery.

    and Munz forgot tailshaft

I guess it all depends on the cost of the parts, which may vary. I've never done this conversion (Though driving an auto aswell makes me want to do it lol) so I wouldn't personally know

just to add to that the starter motor is the SAME auto and manual, some will tell you it is different that is just plain BS.
hope it all goes well for you and keep us posted.

That's wierd that people would say that the starters are different, one would just assume they'd be the same? What reasoning would there be for different motors, unless people think you need a motor from a manual VL?

jats is talking about starter motors not the complete engine.

the only difference in starter motors is the manual non turbo and manual turbo, because the turbo's have the turbo gearbox and have a 10 inch flywheel instead of the 9 n 1/2 inch flywheel that non turbo vl's came out with
