are manual tail shafts and auto the same

another silly question,are vn v8 and vl v8 auto tail shafts the same as manual.

no.you will need to use the front half of the vn shaft and bolt it to the rear half of the vl

yeah i have a vn v8 tail shaft(auto) and a vl v8 tail shaft(auto) if i use them half's will it work with a t5 v8 5speed?

You need the t5 front half
