is that only the dizzy being new.. what about the Crank Angle sensor inside the dizzy.. is this new as well.

if it is check the CAS plug ontop of the dizzy.. under the rubber boot that the wires are crimped on and not corroded.

usually the CAS is your centre of problems about spark,,, then coil and so forth as Jatsvl has stated

    let us know man

also check if the led;s on the ecu are flashing with the ignition on, could be a faulty ecu (very unlikely unless there is rust around the front windscreen and it leaks water onto the ecu)

99% of the time it will be CAS causing the problem, its just process of elimination really. Have you got fuel? Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on? (If you can, then most likely its not the ecu)

a crank angle sensor will start the car on cold but once warm it will cough splut and/or just die. and so will the coil.
the black thingy is the coil and the thermostat is in the side of the block on the bottom hose on an RB30 not the top hose like most.

how u determining your getting no spark to the dizzy?
have u backed out a plug and earthed it and cranked her over to c if ur getting spark?
if not then i would suggest CAS. or something to do with the ECU
have u run a diagnostic on the ECU. Check in the how to thread in my Sig below on how to pull the codes.
have u checked under the rubber boot on the Coil Plug the 2 pin "T" plug thats on it for corroded/disconnected wires.
this tells the coil when to switch over from the Power transistor signal wire...
Highly unlikely to be a power transistor problem but possible.

Check back man let us know

sorry man u never stated if the CAS was replaced with the dizzy or swapped over.??
    if not
99% sure its your CAS.. very common problem with the rb30

it appears everyone is leaning towards the crank angle sensor (CAS) on this one.
there is a gold looking plate in the dizzy which is covering your CAS, undo the 2 screws remove the plate and there is a silver disc with lots of holes around the outside, on one side there is a black box type thing that the disc runs through, that is your CAS.
if there is an amount of redish type dust under your gold plate it is a good indication your CAS is stuffed.
