Damaged vl turbo ecu

Hi there. I have a vl turbo ecu. In the turbo ecu's there is a separate board in there for the knock censor. Since my engine doesn't have a knock censor j was going to haveto trick it with a resistor. But I have found that the knock censor board has a crack through it. And I was wondering if the board can be removed or will it make the the ecu think that the knock censor is activated?

cant you use just a non turbo ecu? or is it turbo with the turbo injectors?

It's alll vl turbo gear including injuctors

just leave it an have it running with no knock sensor, been done before

second that. dont run the knock sensor. just leave it.
unless u can source another board and swap it...

But will that make it retard the timing and run crap?
