hey guys ive having a problem with my vl pumping fuel.ive checked both intank and ext pump and both work and both have power. but it seems nothing is coming from the tank. there is around 25ltrs of fuel. no the car has sat for 3years so is it possible somthing is stuffed inside the tank ???
did you take the hose off the pump/s and check they are pumping fuel and not just buzzing?
if so I would be looking at the fuel filter being blocked or fuelines to the engine blocked, kinked or crushed.
Nobody wants to play with me
i took the hose directly of the intank pump to check for fuel and nothing.
there is a little filter bag on the end of the internal fuel pump, if the car has sat for 3yrs then could be covered in crap in the tank.

the intank pump came out of a running car.so i dont think its that.im taking it out anyway just to check. but i guess the next thing might be to flush the tank out
On my 83 Mazda B2000 (F-rd Courier) it had been sitting for over 10 years in a paddock, and when I got it, I managed to get it on the trailer but I had to swap the fuel filters under the tray & under the hood because it was trying to pump fuel but the filters were blocked so it would just die on startup. Then again, it's carby fed so I dunno

it cant be the filters as ive just disconnected the lines so its only coming out of the intank pump. could a blocked reurn line cause the problem, i can see i might have to drop the tank and flush it out
Ah true sorry, let us know if you do end up dropping it
