    Default Help With Installing Dizzy

hey guys im just trying to install my dizzy and i thought i set it right, with rotor button aiming at no1 cylc.when i tried to start the car i was getting alot of poping and farting.ive set the engine at tdc compression. witch i was told align the cam gear at the top of the engine and pulley marks on the balancer at that should give compression stroke. ive got two pics here and want to know if one of them is right

any help would be great as im hanging to start her up

r u getting cylinder 1 at tdc and when u slide in the dizzy it will turn a bit as the dizzy gear is angled. slide it out and turn it slightly and slide it back in untill u have it set. have a look on teh dizzy cup on where 1 will b (once #1 is a TDC) then fine tune with a test light once it starts

    180 degrees out ?
you can be at TDC but still have the #1 cylinder on the exhaust stroke not compression, put ya thumb over the spark plug hole whilst turning it to TDC to make sure its on the compression stroke

If you put crank pulley on 0 or 10 something in that range, then make sure the rotor is pointing at the number 1 lead, it will fire then you just just tune it with timing light to like 17 deg it will go harder there than at 15, if it dosent go it is 180 out,
