Default point me in the right direction plz

hey lads i got a fairly standard 1987 VL and im going to buy a pair of extractors of a mate , i also was thinking of getting a 2 1/2'' straight through exhaust at the same time. I dont wanna spend a fortune but i wanna make my ride sound sick so can someone tell me what i should do ??? also i was considering getting a K&N panel filter but only if i will get results?

Just the usual mate - extractors, 2.5" exhaust yyeaaah, but definately no bigger, muffler and a normal cat, don't bother with hiflow waste of money.

Then do a cold air induction setup combined with the K&N filter, then if you still want more bump your timing up a few degrees.

youll find extractors a set of pipes, welded together as a single unit.
the only time youll need to buy a 'pair' or extractors is if you have a v8.

well after slugging my guts out for a few months i have saved $5500 , i want new rims , new exhaust , dints removed, darker tints , CAI and maybe some other mods depending on funds and how much i like the car ie. group a body kit w/o bonnet scoop and rear spoiler- looks mad. I am hopefully starting the transformation start of next week so ill be sure to keep yous posted on it.

If u got any recamendations or thoughts plz feel free to tell me , the more input the better

5k should see all that done comfortably with leftovers for a fierce sound system. Enjoy it mate. look forward to helping you spend the money!!!

Well exhaust CAI and tint shouldn't be much more then 1000 dollars. That leaves you with alot to play with.

I owned a 88 vl berlina 3.0l back in the day and also did extrators+2.5 inch exhaust... just make sure they guarantee that it wont drone at crusing speed.. mine did and it drove me crazy....
so i spent the rest of my coin on a sound system to out do it... lol

Performance spark plugs? no such thing hehe, don't waste your money on them. New plugs will be enough.

Timing light needed for the timing, go and see a friendly mechanic and he may do it for nothing for you. Takes only a few minutes - just have to undo a bolt on the distributor and turn it and then check.. Can be done by ear and test drives. But thats kinda dodgy.
