Hi guys. I'm putting a standard turbo setup on my vl. I'm also building a low comp engine to handle about 25 PSI and I plan on running strait gas with a gas research system.
I'm using this motor to get my gas system sorted out and my ignition system and then a cooler all ready for the new motor so I can just put the motor in and run it.
But I'm going to use the rebate to get the basic setup in with an impco setup or something similar until I have my manifold and cooler and piping ready for the gas research system.
I was just wondering where will they put the mixer? Will they remove the cross over pipe and make a new one? I'm just curious. Also what mixer would you recommend?
Cheers
you wouldnt rather make life easier for later and start with a gas research tb?
Much like a fuel system - an LPG system to support the power you'll make on 25psi is different to the system you'd use to power a stocker vlt setup.I'm using this motor to get my gas system sorted out and my ignition system and then a cooler all ready for the new motor so I can just put the motor in and run it.
Ignition on an LPG car will also be very different on 25psi to a standard setup....
Setting up a system suited to a stocker isn't really going to "get it sorted" for your new motor. - You'll need to change lockoffs, add another converter, re-route a bunch of gas lines, water lines, balance pipes, etc......
The GRA setup also runs different converter springs and a different closed-loop setup to your avg impco setup (or a mixer-ring setup, for that matter).
So in short - everything from your LPG tank forward will have to change.....
Money, time and stuffing around wise - you'd be much better off just doing a full GRA setup with two converters straight up - if the end goal is a 25psi engine....
Can the vapour system and go liquid injection. It will shit all over the power you will make on vapour. Do it right the first time and you will have a very quick car.
will require some form of ecu upgrade as well swapping to gas so you can tune spark properly
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
well I have the inlet manifold all ready to go, aussie macca has the tb from the manifold
also the tb is the mixer.
Here is the pics, also check out the thread under my ride

scratch the thread part, is on a different site![]()
Google GAS747. And read his specs on his gas vlt that thing absolutely HAMMERS
