when fuel injection came in people said an injector could partly block, causing a weak mixture in a cylinder so that cylinder would overheat and burn out the exhaust valve without any warning of a problem
has this ever actually happened?
next, what happens with water in the fuel, is there any water trap in the system or any way to drain the water in the 6
very hard to get water from fuel tank into motor.
water seperates itself from the fuel like oil does in the ocean when you see an oil spill.not sure if it floats on top or on bottom.im sure it sits on bottom so very very unlikely it would go into engine as when you run out of fuel im sure you would still have 3mm or so of fuel stil left in tank
also from memory petrol stations have water in there tanks under the bowsers for some reason i cant think why it was thoe
Any fuel with ethanol in it will cause any water in your tank to mix with fuel so it is burnt in your engine. People used to use a cup of metholated spirits in their fuel tank to make water mix with fuel so it didnt rust out your fuel tank and cause fuel blocks. If one of your injectors blocks up you will know, because it will run rough at idle.
if ur worried stick to carby and hope your jets dont have a block :P:P
