Vl 5 speed gearbox N/a 6 shifter kit, (missing parts need help)

hey i bought a gearbox conversion kit today only to realise once home the peice where the shifter should sit nice is all missing, the cover is there that holds the shifter in place and the shifter itself but thats it, ill try get photos up tomorrow, but is there a kit of seals and all that or should i bring it to a gearbox place and get them to fix it up? anything that can be done at home is fine. ill get photos up tomorrow.
