What's it worth? Turbo Diff

Hi guys, I'm currently looking at a VL 28 Spline Turbo diff with LSD and 4.11's. Just wanting to know how much one of these are worth as I'm not 100% sure how much I should be paying. What's a good price?

really depends man...how many kms.....
is the crown wheel/ pinion worn, is it whirring.... is it just the diff or full setup with disks/calipers etc...
are the shafts bent/studs?
r the seals leaking...bearings shot?
do some research and let us know then us members can give u a ballpark figure

Yeah Im guessing being a turbo it would have copped a bit, it's in a genuin vl turbo. Well I haven't inspected it in person yet. It has rear brake setup and handbrake cable. Not sure how many kms yet, still a few questions i need to ask. Only going off the forsale add. Just wasn't sure if he was asking to much.

$500 he's asking. It's in a car he bought but is wrecking so he hasn't driven it. He's going to take it out and inspect it Saturday to see if it's all in good condition, marks and discoloration on gears and spacing in the LSD etc.

If I myself was to think about paying $800 on a second hand thrashed Vl turbo diff I'd pay extra and get 9 inch

while we are on the topic of VLT diffs, im thinking about taking my VLT LSD center out of my VR and replacing it with probably a mini spool, but if i can afford to id go a full spool. so, whats the VLT LSD center worth? its worn, and will do single spinners with the recommended diff oil, but since putting 140w oil in it its almost complete locker again. opinions?

youd have to be an idiot to buy vl turbo axels for $700

you can buy new billet ones for around $800
