well firstly, i was comming back from the city last night at first i thought it was cold but just stayed sluggish all the way home and by the sound of it its running on 5. i replaced the spark plugs about a month ago because of the same sound and after that it ran fine. in this time could the spark plugs already go? i think my cars running a bit rich so my guess is it could burn them out a bit quicker. and about timing how much wouldd it be to get it done? will this fix fuel mixture? and i heard by changing timing 20 degrees it can enhance performance? sorry for all the questions still a noob when it comes to this stuff..but thanks for any kind of infomation![]()
leave it on 15(factory) degrees timing... this will do nothing about your mix as this is purely timing... u can advance timing and run premium fuel and fine tune it but i wouldn't.
change your leads man or have it running and pull one lead at a time to find which cylinder is causing problems...(but change leads anyways)

will it matter what leads i get since my car is stock with just a cat back i wont need anything special to make it run better will i? how will i get a better fuel mixture? im guessing getting a new afm but what do you think? thanks for your help
nope not at all... inspect your dizzy cup and rotor as well... (inside) fuel mix can be a number of things to make it run rich... this could be
Blocked air filter
failing Coolant Temp sensor
failing O2 Sensor..
fuel reg playing up
Vacuum leaks
Air leaks in between afm and throttlebody(intake Pipe)
u can test the afm in my sig below man is a how to... goodluck let us know.
well looks like its still running all 6 but still sounds a bit lumpy. i have realised that the temp gauge on the dash always kept down near the cold side but after going for a 20 minute drive in the morning (wasnt overly cold outside) the pin didnt even go past the first bar but did move a few mills thought it was just reading cold from the thermostat being stuck open or something but seems to have got worse could this be some sort of sensor oorrrrrr?
and if i were to change all the sensors are they hard to get to and are they much to buy at all?
easy to get too and easy to get... but do a resistance check on them with a multimeter.... my temp used to hover around the 2nd bar.....
if a sensor is failing it may run rich as its not getting info about the engine temps and not leaning your mix out
