vl auto wont start

Hey guys, I have just replaced the auto in my vl, which came out of my other vl that was running, everything has been hooked up, its not selecting gears if i by pass the netural switch the car will start.
Any ideas please people??

did u attach the selector cable properly and tighten the grommet

yes i have i just replaced the selector switch and it now starts just wont drive...

you have posted the same thread twice.

selector rod or cable ( early VL's have a cable (which is SH!T) later models have a rod) may need to be adjusted. or the neutral start switch needs adjusting.
Isuggest you get a workshop manual for the how to.
