Matt.
If you want the original wrinkle red - its vht wrinkle red or something like that. Just take it off, fairly easy to do. Strip the paint, sand it back and away you go.
I like the same colour as the body too. Thats what I'll go with mine I think.
Nah! They look crap in blue! Thanks lads!
mate i polished my rocker cover up and it looks mint takes time but its relatively cheap to do ya know get a few small grit sandpapers sort out a rotating sander with a buffing pad and some cut paste and just get to work took me a couple of days and i think its awsome then you just get some polish from supercheap or repco and your done check my pics out at

thanks
i don't mind that look at all. not bad buddy. it'd look better if the intake manifold was polished too but that would be a huge hassle.Originally Posted by dan_man31
Doesnt that make the engine retain heat? Have you ever noticed the serious punters paint the covers flat black, to dissipate the heat. I'll stick with paint!
i would have thought paint would keep the heat in.
I really don't think it will make a huge difference.
the serious punters do u mean rice cooking turbo's or top fuelers you look at all top hot rods and they have some serious polish going on for show (eg, advertising sponsers etc), seriously its not going to affect the car if im keeping it stock standard not doin any mods to the motor i want it to look nice i checked with an A grade mechanic (my old man ) and a couple of mates who have some serious machine's (eg top fueler ) a straight 6 vl commodore isnt going to generate enough heat to cause a problem!!Originally Posted by coolngroovy
