If you want the original wrinkle red - its vht wrinkle red or something like that. Just take it off, fairly easy to do. Strip the paint, sand it back and away you go.

I like the same colour as the body too. Thats what I'll go with mine I think.

i don't mind that look at all. not bad buddy. it'd look better if the intake manifold was polished too but that would be a huge hassle.

Doesnt that make the engine retain heat? Have you ever noticed the serious punters paint the covers flat black, to dissipate the heat. I'll stick with paint!

the serious punters do u mean rice cooking turbo's or top fuelers you look at all top hot rods and they have some serious polish going on for show (eg, advertising sponsers etc), seriously its not going to affect the car if im keeping it stock standard not doin any mods to the motor i want it to look nice i checked with an A grade mechanic (my old man ) and a couple of mates who have some serious machine's (eg top fueler ) a straight 6 vl commodore isnt going to generate enough heat to cause a problem!!

but hey buddy u paint urs flat black and ill do mine bright polished chrome i know which makes it look better
