Hi guys as the name suggests I have a driveline vibrations issue. is starts to appear at about 100KPH.
I’m trying to get a roady on the car so I can transfer it into my name so i can start the turbo build, but every time i take it back he finds something new thats wrong with it. (im doing all the work at home so im not paying him to fix it) and the vibration the only thing left and the mechanic has no idea at all how to fix it.
I’ve had the tail shaft balance and a uni joint replaced. So the tail shaft is fine (I know the guy who balanced it and he told me its spot on) its within 4g
I’ve just got all new tires and had them all balanced. So they are all spot on.
also ive had standard springs and lowered springs in it and it didnt help
I’m going mental trying to get this roady done.
just to add. its a five speed VL SL Wagon

within 4g is not "Spot On" as such... could be uni's, centre bearing, unbalanced wheel, warped tyre all can play a role... but usually noticible through other speeds..
is it manual or auto..... could be lock up converter when she goes into overdrive if its auto
Everything thing in the tail shaft was checked. We found 1 dodgy uni that we replaced. And I was balanced. (4g is pretty good) the tires are all new and balanced too. All this was dine to try and get rid of it. And it's a manual.
I would say centre bearing on the tail shaft, gearbox mounts sagging or broken or worn suspension bushes.
Nobody wants to play with me
check and see if it happens in both 4th gear or 5 th gear,if not that will tell you if its gearbox related, also check your diff pinion bearing or geardox extension housing to tailshaft for play. if all else fails pull the rear cover of the diff and check the carrier bearings for excess play....... cheers
