vl won't start, no lights on ecu..

Hey, as stated, my project vl won't start.
It was running fine. Had it off, then went to start again n it made a werid cranking noise, then the positive on the battery started smoking now it won't start. Checked the ecu n the lights arnt on, done all the relays n fuses n still no luck, tried another ecu n still no luck. You also can't hear the fuel pumps prime. Ne1 got ne ideas? Is there ne hidden fuses or relays I might not know? Its a rb30.

is your fuse box slightly melted? on the fuel pump side

is the battery stuffed? fuseable link burnt out, all earths making good contact, starter motor solenoid burnt out?

I'll double check the fuse box but rekon everythings ok.
There's power getin to the fuse box, everything works, like lights n that, ya can hear the relays clicking. It cranks ova fine, but yea no lights to ecu of hear fuel pumps prime..

only way the ecu is protected is by a fuse soo if u have used a higher rating fuse as a Bandaid fix once b4 (or previous owner) it could have fried it...

should have some light going on...

I've tried all the fuses n a diff ecu.. Was sopoused to Ave a auto elec come rnd 2day but he stuffed me rnd..

ok, so ripped out a whole bunch of random wires n everythings running!

hmm weird... what wires were pulled

It was gonna b a turbo, so there was wires 4 turbo timer, rev gauge, dodgey stereo install, rekon 1 of them was shorting on the body..
