    Default Brake Pads

Just over a year ago i decided to paint my callipers and drums, bout a month and a half after, the top bolt decided to fall out of the calliper and when i hit on my brakes the whole calliper would go foward causing me to stop on the spot, reversing put it back on the rotor and would move foward again (till brakes applied), this caused my old asbestos brake pads to be cut up really bad, i ended up replacing them with $40 brake pads from Super Cheap, crap stuff makes my mags all black

But when i looked at them the other week they have worn down more towards the front then the back. (It's wearing down more on the outside of the rotor) Now can brake pads wiggle their way out to be unlevel or what, cause im gonna have to replace them again before it gets down to nothing and im expecting to pay a little more and i don't wont them to wear unevenly.

Also can the calliper be opened while on the rotor cuz the way the pads have worn it just aint gonna slide off. Cheers

For brake pads check out Bendix advance pads they are a dustless style pad and still offer reasonable braking. Else you can go for a more metal based pad if you require better braking.
Just a warning if you have polished alloy or chrome rims metal tailings off your rotors & pads may cause discolouration & marking to your rims so be careful with that one. My Simmons used to mark badly with them until I switched to a different pad.

Also when you replace your pads make sure you clean and regrease the slides on the mounting bracket & caliper and ensure free opperation else your caliper wont center property causing uneven pad wear.

Under normal circumstances the pad cannot leave the caliper whilst the caliper is bolted up as they clip under/inside the mounting bracket. Even if you wear them down to metal that shouldnt come out
