Default Under the car surface protection

I am working on what seems to be a massive project. I have a VL 308 Berlina which I am restoring and my user ID says it all.
I am reinstating the black liner coating that is everywhere under the VL because parts of the coating has already chipped and corroded away.
Could some please advise on what coating is needed to go under the car.
    Thank you

body deadener! it is a spray on rubber/tar you can buy it in a spraycan but it goes on really thin, you can buy it in cans upto 5lts then thin to your choice and spray it on with a spray gun or you can brush it on with a paint brush

Have a flick through here for some inspiration of you like. I've been down the same road, I decided to do it with a brush:

I am doing the same thing. I am using K & H body deadener. $10 a can at Repco. Less work then a brush and can get into nooks and crannies. Wrap your exhaust and ither items that you dont want overspray.

You'd be surprised how quickly that cost would add up doing an entire subframe with rattle cans though

That said, using rattle cans or a proper spray gun is the only way to get the proper tall-build finish. Applying it with a paint brush, while cheaper, is going to result in a flatter finish.
