Car's Missing

hey guys n girls, got a slight prob with my vl wondering if anyone has a heads up on it

its missing when it gets to a certain speed in every gear 20,40,60,90 and keeps missing till i change the gear.

took it to mechanic he said i got a leaking injector n a buggered CAS Plug. he replaced my distributor cap and rotor and that improved it so it wouldnt pretty much die going up a steep hill.

could any of these two be the cause to my car missing

Does it smell like petrol under the bonnet you can usaully smell it if the injector leaking. It might be blocked, see if you can find the cylinder its missing on and check for compression. if its not squirting petrol then it will not detonate on that cylinder so it will miss.If you cant smell petrol try putting a bottle of injector cleaner in it fixed mine up in like ten minutes

Put a new of plugs & a set of 8mm leads on her..

to find out if it is the injector while car is running spary some carby cleaner at the injector if it picks up the fluid the idle will rise as for the missing i would try what the others said plugs and leads

yeh just had a service so new plugs n that were put on goin in tomorrow morning to get the crank angle sensor plug replaced, guy said if its got a faulty connection that can cause the miss, i'll get him to check out the injector as well, will let u know how it goes incase u get stucked with this major bummefying problem

on the up side i'm saving on petrol, more of a cumpolsory change of gears then a voluntary lol

hey guys just went to the auto electrician, crank angle sensor plug was stuffed, got new one installed runs beautifully now $60 all up so not to bad for wat it was doing
