Default pod filter in actory vl airbox?

tryed researching this topic but really carnt find much so im starting to think this is just to hard but if its possible would be nice.
and i know the answers ill get saying theres no point and that a better panel filter will just be as afective but i got a pod ilter for free (brand new)
and apparently they sound quite nice and i got some free time on my hands so why not.
and i do not want to put any kind of heat shield around it want to make it look stock....Thanks for the read and any info would be much appreciated.

The airbox is way too small for your generic sca, monza k&n style pod filter. Sell the filter and grab a k&n panel filter.
Makes the same sound and performs better.

They may fit in a vt airbox. But then your past the free threshold.

being in the air box will be no difrence in hp....

not sure on the legalities of a pod these days but i think you used to have them boxed off and mounted with a bracket?

It's up to the discretion of the officer what it needs. Some are happy with bracing some with covers. Way it works unfortunately.

Not having it just attached to the air intake pipe and having move around, just a bracket to hold it still.

See that metal support bracket. Dodgy but that's what we are talking about.

I put a pod filter in my S13 just for the wank factor lol, sounded alright but doesnt do much to an NA 1.8, but mine was sitting there & rubbing against my bay so I built an L shaped bracket, looked like |_ from the side, |___| from the front, and the bottom screwed into the bay, & the back screwed between the pod manifold thing & the box the afm plugs into, so it didn't move at all. Cops pulled me over heaps of times and never mentioned the fact it wasn't in a box or anything, but I eventually cut a piece of spare metal to cover the top of it. Didn't look neat but was a deterrant for cops who wanted to be douches.

    Do 1 of three things
clean your original filter, blow it out with compressed air
    buy a K&n panel filter
Buy a pod kit from mace as bow down pictured.

Also with the gearbox, if you are going to turbo it, put a turbo manual box in instead of a n/a one. that way you wont have to change it again.
