G'day guys
My fuses have been an on-going problem... the highbeam fuse at the top of the rail (position 1 or 2..... i think) had a bit too much to drink one night and decided to melt down.
the fuse rail looks like someone has tried to solder a fuse in... ive never seen a fuse go like this before... so what im wondering is this:
To fix this problem it should be possible to re-wire the fuse to sit in one of the spare positions.. true!? in doing this and with removing the rail is the wiring to the fuses directly connected or do they attach by means of wiring loom because ive been looking at mine and it looks like they are directly connected (soldered to the connection point of the fuse)
so whats the best way of removing the rail?!
Thanks guys!
very common problem mate. PCB fuse rails are the go if the whole thing is screwed.
Not many VLs which havnt or wont have the same problem in their lifetime.
Do a search in here or on ebay for the PCB rails. some even have sexy little LEDs in them so it looks like xmas lights (for whatever reason).
failing that just cut out the headlight fuses and replace then with an inline fuse.
its usually only these two fuses that ruin it for all the other sober fuses.
